Woke to the delivery of our coffee and Danish…that’s what late nights and time changes 5 nights in a row do ……they require naps later.

Ate breakfast with a varied group, including a woman who was on her 9th trip around the world. She was from New Jersey, owned a castle in New Jersey, was a soprano, and tried to get me to go to the library to buy her books for 25 dollars a piece about her trip around the world. She wrote the books about her trips. Strange lady who liked to tell us how many things she had….lots of different kinds of people.

Read in the library until Nancy finished her book. Walked on the deck. Converted currency at a poor exchange rate, but we have pounds for Southampton. Went to a backstage tour of the theater—very modern. We toured the stage and the dressing room, got to ask questions of the production manager, the lighting engineer, and the voice captain. Was fun, very interesting.

Had some lunch-- bit light on purpose—no dessert.

Took a nap, did laundry, and read in the afternoon after our turn around the deck…1.1 miles.

Dinner was the last formal night. Dinner was unbelieveable…see food blog. They had the parade of chefs, somaliers and waitstaff. A whole lot of people are required to feed 2200 people gourmet meals every evening, to say nothing of the continual parade of buffet meals that are available.

After dinner We once again went to the theater for a dance/music presentation LaPassionata, their longest running show. LaPassionata was a dance performance variety….amazing costumes and music. Again great seats and good company…a couple from Indiana who are retired teachers. They are headed to Norway. It was wonderful.

When that ended we went to the casino to play the 5 cent slot machine, we broke about even tonight so we quit while we were even. It is a way to kill time while waiting for the elevators.

We went to the nightclub G32 for a while it was a private club--just us two. We listened to the band Carribean Vibz and appaluded even though we were the only people there except waiters. The royal ascot ball was next door and many people were there rather than in G32. They are a fun group that plays anything from 60s to regae. Good voices. They played from 10 to 11 which isn’t bad time wise. Eventually more people did come in and we left at about 11:00, unfortunately, we lost another hour.

Partying all the time is getting to be tiring work.
