Okay, I am over my ill humor at this blogspot. Today's blog and picture insertion worked just the way it was supposed to work. The pictures will stay in.
Post vacation jobs…that’s the order of the day.
We were up early after our long weekend of fun. We worked on doing laundry and sorting the junk and working on the blogs that we are behind. I also needed to download the files from the SD cards. Unfortunately, those files were huge…much larger than I really like them to be.
Then we decided that we should go out for lunch. We headed to the subway and took the subway from Buchanan Street to Hillshead and set out for Amber Restaurant. This is the Chinese restaurant that we found earlier. We went with the intention of trying something new….didn’t. Although we did try some Chinese chicken and noodle soup. It was very good. We much enjoyed the orange chicken and the Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken. We also had some Chinese jasmine tea.
After lunch we took the subway back to St. Enoch Square to do some shopping. We needed a new flash drive to back up all of the stuff on this computer and a couple more SD cards for the camera. I like to take pictures. We stopped at the post office and met a very nice postal person who helped us use the automated system for mailing post cards and letters. We walked on up the hill and stopped and picked up a couple of souvenirs and even got a discount because they tried to do my head in a couple of weeks ago. We continued our walk up the hill to the cheap bookstore (in the rain) to get a book for Neil.
Then we went to Sainbury’s, the grocery store, for dinner and breakfast supplies. We cooked dinner and Jess, Neil and I had dinner. Poor Pete was at work. Then it was clean up time and blog time again.
A fairly boring and mundane day without much tourist stuff. I did stop for pictures in the Argle Jewelry Mall—diamonds everywhere.
